Clivia B. Baskin serves as founder and president
of DFW Orientation Services. Both her personal and professional
experiences have given Clivia the expertise to offer relocating
employees the services, assistance and empathy they need.
Clivia first developed an appreciation for cross-cultural
moves in her childhood. A military brat, Clivia lived with her
American father and multi-lingual German mother in France and
Germany. She went on to attend college in Spain and later completed
her bachelor's degree in Spanish at Long Beach State University
in Long Beach, Calif. Clivia is fluent in English, German, French
and Spanish.
Clivia launched her career in relocation services
in 1993, helping military families make cross-country and cross-border
moves. Her other experience includes:
Providing spousal assistance programs for the military
Serving as a corporate director of relocation services
Acting as a senior relocation consultant for international
transferees
She is one of the world's first 200 relocation professionals
to earn the special designation of Global Mobility Specialist from
the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council.
